Privacy policy

Kalends shows your Google Calendar on tvOS without editing it. This policy covers the Kalends app, website, and support email.

Effective and last updated: July 11, 2026. The app and site are operated under the Kalends name. The privacy contact is support@kalends.app.

Google data we access

When you connect a Google account, Kalends requests:

  • Google Calendar read-only data: the calendars you have selected in Google Calendar, their names and colors, and event fields such as titles, dates and times, all-day status, locations, descriptions, and conferencing links when Google provides them.
  • Basic Google profile and email: your name, email address, and profile image, when available.
  • OAuth credentials: access and refresh tokens used to keep the connected account signed in.

How Google data is used

Kalends uses event data only to render the next seven days on your Apple TV. Profile data labels the connected account. Credentials authorize those requests. Kalends does not edit calendar data or use Google user data for advertising, sale, credit decisions, or training general-purpose AI models.

App storage and retention

Kalends does not deliberately write calendar or profile data to app files or Kalends servers. Apple’s networking and image-loading components may use operating-system-managed caches. Access and refresh tokens are stored in this Apple TV’s Keychain until you sign out. Sign-out deletes the Keychain item; you can separately revoke access in Google Account permissions. Do not rely on uninstalling alone to delete a Keychain item.

Google data disclosure

The app sends credentials and API requests to Google to authenticate and retrieve your data, and uses Apple’s Keychain to store credentials on-device. Kalends does not transfer Google user data to advertising networks or data brokers. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the app and users. Use of Google API data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Website providers and telemetry

The site is built for Cloudflare Pages, whose hosting systems may process routine request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads. If optional Plausible analytics is enabled, the site sends page-view data and named link-click events, including the link label and destination URL, to the configured Plausible endpoint. Kalends does not set its own advertising cookies.

Support messages

If you email support, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. They are used to answer and troubleshoot your request. No fixed deletion schedule is currently configured for support correspondence; you can ask us to delete it, subject to records we must retain for security or legal reasons.

Your choices

You can sign out in the app, revoke Kalends in Google Account permissions, disable optional analytics or remote fonts with browser blocking tools, and request access to or deletion of support information by email. See privacy choices for exact revocation steps.

Policy changes

Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. If app data use changes in a way that requires new Google permission, the app will request that permission through Google.
